Does It Make A Difference What Subwoofer Cable I Use Need Help With Blu-Ray Player/Receiver Connection?

Need Help With Blu-Ray Player/Receiver Connection? - does it make a difference what subwoofer cable i use

I my boyfriend a Panasonic DMP-BD35 Blu-ray for Christmas. Currently, a Sony STR K740P receiver. (This is the Blu-ray I came, because it is one of the best)

I want to buy instead of BD55 to BD35, for it is $ 100 cheaper. I want that extra money provided for a wireless surround sound speakers for him. (You need only two, which is a smaller living room .... This may be important to know that later.)

My question is basically the main differences are between the BD35 and BD55

The 35K output allows Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio for a receiver that has an HDMI input. (With the 55K, does not matter because you can use the analog audio outputs to as high sound qualityRecipient age).

And the 55K has 7.1-channel analog output, while the 35K has a 2.1-channel audio output. (Frankly, I do not know what that means. If you know please tell me. I just want to whether it would not interfere with 2.1-channel surround sound.)

Question 1: What can be wrong, but I do not think that means your receiver via an HDMI output. Is there an accessory cable, or you can buy and make a connection to the production of its receptor in progress?

Question 2: How to connect all components: Blu-ray, DVD, plasma TV, receiver, subwoofer and 2 surround speakers .... 55K is "7.1-channel analog output and 35K for" 2.1-channel audio output "in order to have it in this area? InvolvedDepartment at all?

Question 3: Is there a way to connect your iPod to the Blu-ray (or receiver), get in touch to play music? However, no additional cables, so you can buy what is possible?

Thank you for your help! It is much appreciated!

Your receiver has a digital audio (SPDIF) inputs, both optical and coaxial. Feed the BD35 digital output to the digital input receiver. Connect (the HDMI cable from the BD35 to the HDMI inputs on your TV if your TV does not have HDMI, component cable to use). Since the receiver is the digital audio inputs, you do not need 7.1 analog, and not pay attention to the stereo output of 2.1 - you do not need.

If you ever want to go to DTS or Dolby True HD and 7.1 surround sound, you must obtain a new A / V, which deals with them.

BTW, good choice on the BD35 - is probably the best Blu-ray affordable available today.

If you ever want to go to DTS or Dolby True HD and 7.1-channel surround sound, you need a new receiver. But what makes good sound.

OK, many to list here for:
It is advisable to have a Blu-ray, that send a signal to the receiver via HDMI for decoding the Dolby Tru HD and DTS-HD can. It is a clean signal. 55K players, internal and send the decoded signal over 8 son to a receiver that can decode it. That is the advantage for the 55K, so you enjoy the new surround sound without having to replace their old receiver. But the problem w / STR-K740P, that he is too old. It has the ability to do well. It is a simple receiver is about 10 years. Or something. However, not all is lost. It has one input coaxial and optical digital Toslink audio decoding for 5.1 surround sound. However, you will never be the HD Surround. All Blu-ray haveToslink digital output for this connection. Your current receiver has no HDMI input or output. I found a good picture of him on eBay.

This will have to do if you all everything you want to be asked. Get a Sony STR-DG820 receiver. It has everything you need. I've included two links to see it for you. The first can you have an iPod to your existing receiver. The second is the receiver I recommend. I know that I have on the budget. But technology has come a long way have come and raises prices. Unfortunately, we have to pay to keep up. But I assure you I have Dolby Tru HD and DTS-HD and sounds impressive. I spent more than $ 2.5K my audio and video in the last 3 months to update. You can write me directly for further questions.
